SOUTH PACIFIC FERTILIZER LTD – COMPANY DIRECTORS
Sugar Cane Growers Fund [SCGF] established by Act. No. 9 of 1984 enacted by the Parliament of Fiji on 26 July 1984. Its core business is to provide loans to registered sugar cane growers. SCGF also has a subsidiary company (90.6% Ownership) – South Pacific Fertilizers Limited (SPFL) which is a private commercial company registered under the Companies Act 2015 and its core business is the sale and distribution of fertilizer and weedicide.
SCGF as the major shareholder of SPFL currently invites talented and dedicated individuals with diverse skills and experience to serve as SPFL Company Directors representing the interests of SCGF. The role will strategically lead the company by providing leadership and direction, ensuring good governance practices, accountability, transparency, and with integrity. The directors are expected to oversee the companies’ operations, modernize and enhance service delivery, improve financial performance, managing risks and ensuring adherence to the Companies Act 2015 and the standard Articles of Association.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants should demonstrate:
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in the Agricultural or related fertilizer industry.
- Proven leadership and governance experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Sugar Cane Industry.
- Sound financial management, policy development, and corporate governance.
- Strong communication and decision making skills.
- Commitment to fairness, integrity, accountability, professionalism and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
