Tongan Retirement Fund Board (TRFB) chief operations officer, Tevita Veituna said his team had so far received positive responses after discussions with staff at the SCGF.

Mr Veituna said the new project that the TRFB were looking into involved home mortgages.

“It requires a system to administer and manage this project, we came across this one at SCGF and we wanted to witness the operation of the BeaconPro mortgage loan system and try to get more technical information about the system from Datec and SCGF that will help us in our selection process and if we get to choose this one it will help us greatly in the implementation and installation phase,” he said.

He said the TRFB managed the retirement benefits for civil servants.
