SCGF OPEN DAY – 1ST JULY 2023

Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) on Saturday 1st July 2023 is having its Open Day. The open day’s objective is not only to create awareness of SCGF’s products and services but other industry stakeholders’ services as well. The open day gives an opportunity for the growers and the general public, to know about the cane farm loans, farms on sale, special SCGF Business Link Pacific Loan, and the recently launched mySCGF Digital service, said Chief Executive Officer Mr. Raj Sharma.

 All the district offices of SCGF will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. The main events are in Kabisi Sigatoka at Foursquare Supermarket Carport and in Labasa, at the Labasa SCGF office where Pacific Medical Services (MSP) will provide free medical check-ups to growers. At Kabisi, growers will be able to meet other sugar industry stakeholders like FSC and the Sugar Research Institute of Fiji. South Pacific Fertilizers Ltd will also display and sell their products in Kabisi and Labasa. The Permanent Secretary for Sugar Industry and Multi Ethnic Mr Yogesh Karan will be also present in Kabisi.       

 There are other additional booths that will be set up at Labasa Civic Centre car -park and Lautoka City Mall. So this is the time for all those working-class professionals to come down to the open day – know about the sugar industry and consider the agricultural investment, special cane farming.   

 Mr. Sharma thanked all the stakeholders and special thanks to Pacific Medical Services and Lautoka City Council.
