Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) advises its growers, that it has total of $79,526.61 unclaimed monies from 638 cane growers. These are growers’ accounts who have paid off their loans and they do not have a bank account. Some of the growers would have changed the ownership too said, Mr. Sagar Dayal, Manager Lending Operations. The list of the accounts is placed in all the FSC sector offices and at each of the SCGF District offices.  Growers have been also advised through text messages on the mobile contact held to visit the offices and claim the monies upon presenting valid identification.

Mr. Dayal also advised that those growers who have amounts in excess of $1000.00 have visited them or contacted them individually for the payment. He also mentioned that some of the growers are in the process of getting the right documents such as probates to claim their monies.
