Temporary Relationship Support Officer-Labasa

Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) is a statutory body providing loans and advances to sugar cane growers in Fiji. SCGF is one of the key stakeholders in the Sugar Cane Industry and as such, has an important role in supporting the interests of cane growers. SCGF is currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced personnel to join its operations based at our Labasa Office for the position mentioned herein.

Temporary Relationship Support Officer- Labasa

This role is based at Labasa Office and reports to the Senior Relationship Officer and ultimately to Manager Lending & Operations. The responsibility of the officer includes providing prompt, friendly and courteous service to the Sugar Cane Growers and explaining/promoting Fund’s products and provide support to Lending Team. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities are as follows without limiting to:

  • Providing prompt, friendly and courteous service to the Sugar Cane Growers and explaining/promoting Fund’s products;
  • Treating cane growers on a fair and equitable basis having regard to their needs and resources;
  • Interviewing sugar cane growers in respect of loan applications;
  • Supporting and participation with Senior Relationship Officer and the Management Team in achieving the Fund’s goals and objective, arrears collection;
  • Good understanding of user level capacity of computing; and
  • Any other duties & responsibilities as assigned by Management.

     Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma level preferably in Finance, Agriculture or Business and relevant with IT Discipline;
  • Possess relevant lending knowledge of Sugar Industry regulations;
  • Proficiency in relevant Computer applications;
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field; and
  • A valid Driver’s License would be an advantage.

The above position is offered for an initial term of one [1] year.
